Rayne is a bit of a sarcastic care free person. By care free, I mean not attached. She is easily annoyed and won’t hesitate to tell you about it. She prefers to stay cooped up with her “pets” but even she gets lonely, though she’ll never say it aloud. She really only attaches herself to certain people, and when she does, she becomes either even more of a jerk or less hostile toward them. When Rayne is embarrassed or pushed into a corner, she might fight back or escape, running into her own shadow to hide. She rather dislikes direct confrontation, but she isn’t afraid to rip others a new one. Rayne is a great ally, but a horrible enemy to have.

Rayne has been on her own for a while. Her species doesn’t stick together, they actually hate each other. Living on her own, she traveled, picking up little traits here and there, never staying in one place for long. That is until she made her first friend, a very stubborn and kind boy named Rai. At first she hated his guts but then he grew on her, taking him along on her travels she learned what it meant to be happy. But humans only stay young for so long. As she grew older so did he, and eventually passed away, leaving Rayne back where she started.
Along her travels, Rayne met Setsuna and was asked to teach at Legacy Academy, but had turned it down due to having still been traveling with Rai. After his death she met with Setsuna again and decided she would teach the Dark Arts Class.

While at Legacy Academy:
Rayne has met many a student and attached herself only to a handful of them. One of which is Barden. Within their first meeting, she saved his life and gave him a great gift. Getting to know him, he has helped her understand humans more. With a curse that threatened his life, Rayne nearly killed herself putting it in remission. She is currently studying up on the curse and helping students who need it.

Barden - The first of her students to actually gain her respect and trust. Though she has helped him out a few times, she is oddly fond of him. It is a mystery to her how he reminds her of Rai, but she'd never share that info. Barden is one of the few people she doesn't mind risking her life for.
Fae - The flying 101 teacher is someone Rayne is still getting used too. Though she wouldn't consider many her friend, she believes this woman can be considered a distant one.
